This is Brooklyn, and she will be 18 years old on April 29th. She’s currently a senior at Frontier High School and has been a merit roll student all four years of High School. She works at Uncle Joes restaurant, as a host, server, and expediter, and has since she was 15. Brooklyn is currently enrolled for fall semester at Hilbert college and plans to pursue a career in forensic studies.

Alexis & Joey Ryan

My son Joey was my sunshine baby. It’s fitting he was born with an angel kiss on his forehead, as he is definitely my angel. He’s an old soul; calm, gentle, good-hearted and willing to help anyone in need (especially his mom). Since he put skates on at age 2, he’s hardly ever taken them off and he’s a total hockey boy!

My daughter Alexis is as beautiful inside as she appears in these photographs and her smile and laugh truly are infectious. Everyone comes to her for advice or simply to hang out and have fun. She is very adventurous and quite the little daredevil, which is really amazing after the trauma she has been through.

Mikhaila Schweikowsky

Born September 1997 at Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo and was delivered by midwife Kelly. She graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice with additional studies in forensic science and French. Took a year to work in primary schools in France, teaching English to French children. Is also a soccer coach every summer for the town of West Seneca, and works at Backyard Party Supply part-time helping out her dad.

Over 30 years at OGAWNY and 3rd generation started!

Dr. Carmen Todoro was my doctor back in the early 90s Ashley Rose came into this world by natural delivery at 8 lbs on June 18, 1993. A great sleeper, eater, rule follower, a focused girl all her life. She traveled to Africa three times for volunteer work and health care which expanded her Bachelor’s degree work at Daemen College and the completion of her Masters from USC Keck School of Medicine with a degree in Public Health. Ashley is now 26, married, lives in East Concord New York and has a career at Roswell Park Cancer Center as a Clinical Research Coordinator, specifically in Phase 1 Oncology trials. Her greatest work and passion is her daughter Ella Rose, who is 16 months old! Thank you, Dr. Falkner!

Dakota Lyn, also delivered by Dr. Todoro and Dr. Santos, was my c-section baby, born June 27, 1996. Tiny, not a sleeper, independent quiet player, outside the lines kinda girl, Dakota has been creative since she was a tot! She is well-traveled throughout Europe, including a trip to Africa with sister Ashley, and she graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Savanna College of Art and Design. At 23, she resides in Springville, NY and has a career at Raven Vanguard Design Studio LLC as an Interior Designer.

From my early 20s of typical women’s health care needs of birth control to delivering two babies to now menopausal years in my 50s, I have stayed with this group at OGAWNY. My two daughters you delivered now receive their women’s health care there and we have a third-generation started!

Mya Braun

Mya Braun was born in October 2001 at Mercy Hospital. Dr. Brian Smith was Mya’s mother’s physician. “She was a small baby at 5 lbs 10 oz,” Mya’s mother, Lisa, recalls, however she ended up making a really BIG impact on her parents’ lives! She just graduated with high honors from Iroquois High School where she played on their highly competitive Field Hockey and Softball teams. She is a freshman at the University of Buffalo where she is studying Business Management and plays Club Field Hockey for the Bulls! Horns up!!!

The Boccoluccis

Dr. Carmen Todoro has always been Monica Boccolucci’s provider. Dr. Todoro delivered her twins, Emma and Elijah, and was there for most of her labor with her son Aidin. Monica was 12 hours into her labor when Dr. Todoro left to get home to his family, which was, “totally understandable,” Monica states. Twenty-five minutes later, in that 13th hour, Aidin decided to enter the world. He was delivered by Dr. Danakas.

Emma and Elijah are now twenty years old. Emma will be a senior at Buffalo State in the Fall of 2019 and just returned from a semester in France. Her major is French and International Relations. She hopes to join the Peace Corp after graduation. Elijah is in the United States Air Force and stationed in Korea.

Aidin, 19, is a Ranger in the United States Army.

We are so proud to have delivered such wonderful young adults and look forward to hearing about all of their future accomplishments!

Kate Kotecki Lichtenthal

Kate has been a patient of Dr. Santos’ since she was 14 years old. As she was looking through her baby book, she came across a photo from her delivery. She was delivered by Dr. Santos and Kelly Vargo, 27 years ago! She now has 2 children of her own, that were delivered at Mercy Hospital, under the care of Dr. Santos. Kate warmly stated, “I couldn’t love this Ob/Gyn any more if I tried.”

Chris Gartenman

When Kathy Gartenman was referred to our practice 26 years ago, she was assigned to Dr. Brian Smith, “Aka Doogie Houser, due to the popular TV show at the time,” she states. Dr. Smith saw her through her first pregnancy, and beyond. Kathy remembers, “Dr. Smith was the most professional, compassionate, knowledgeable doctor one could possibly have.”

Kathy delivered by C-Section on Wednesday, March 2, 1994 and Dr. Todoro was there to assist.

Her son, Chris, is doing very well. “Chris attended Orchard Park High School, then SUNY Fredonia for Sports Management/Business Management, then St. Bonanventure for a 1-year Master’s Degree in Business Management,” Kathy reports. He has been employed in Getzville since 2017.

Kathy remembers, “When my son was in preschool at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Orchard Park, I started teaching Sunday school. One day, a nice lady named Mrs. Smith came in with twins and asked about them attending. My co-teacher, Lisa, and I welcomed them into our class. A couple weeks later, I was thinking my Obgyn doctor has twins and his last name is Smith. Coincidentally, the next Sunday, Dr. Brian Smith and his wife stopped in my classroom and I learned I had his twin preschoolers in my Sunday School class. What a small world it is.”

Daniel Ferrentino

Colleen’s son, Daniel, was delivered by Dr. Carlos Santos in October of 1991 by c-section at Children’s Hospital. Daniel now lives in Arizona. He went to school at ECC, then the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Gilbert, AZ. He now works as an audio engineer at Premier Studios in Phoenix. We are so very proud of him!

Christopher Falcone

Dr. Santos delivered Christopher Falcone in January 2000. He began attending RIT in 2018 for their Biomedical Engineering program. His mother, Kirsten, exclaims, “We are very proud of him!”
